Dr. Ahriana Platten is a spiritual anthropologist, best-selling author, and leadership strategist who designs and implements transformational programs, retreats, and executive experiences. Blending ancient wisdom with modern business insight, she guides individuals and organizations through meaningful change, cultivating resilience, embodied presence, and lasting impact.
Dr. Platten currently serves as Connection Programming Consultant-in-Residence at The Ground, a regenerative farm-stay and retreat property nestled in the wine country of Yamhill County, Oregon. The Ground is a living landscape of forest, meadow, and cultivated land, designed to slow people down and bring them back to what matters.
In this role, Dr. Platten is developing a first-of-its-kind connection programming model, creating experiences that move beyond typical retreat formats to foster genuine human connection, renewal, and collective purpose. She works directly with organizations and individuals who want to bring a retreat to The Ground, offering hands-on guidance from initial concept through final design, so that every element of the experience serves the people it’s meant for. I have known Ahriana for many years. She was my Interfaith Ministry teacher and retreat leader when I went to Mexico with her. She is an inspiration. She is the wisest and most knowledgeable person I know about anything spiritual. She is kind and gently holds space for participants. She is a mentor and role model to me.
I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Ahriana in two different capacities — as a wisdom provider on her Sacred Menopause platform, and as a faculty member at Inn the Ground, where she coordinates the retreat programming. In both, I’ve watched her do what very few people can: hold space that is simultaneously deeply sacred and completely grounded.
Ahriana has a rare gift. She carries decades of ceremony and spiritual leadership — and none of it sits on a shelf. It moves through her, into the room, into the people around her. She makes the mystical feel accessible without ever making it small.
What I trust most about her as a collaborator is her integrity. She leads from genuine reverence — for the traditions she’s been entrusted with, for the people she serves, and for the work itself. That’s not something you can fake, and it’s exactly what retreat participants feel.
If you’re looking for someone to lead, co-create, or hold transformational space — Ahriana is the real thing.
