The Gap hosted Stephany’s book launch to celebrate the publishing of Stephany’s Style Secrets; 7 Steps to Live and Dress Your Best. The global impact of her reputation inspired the launch of her virtual styling course How To Style Yourself, and her candid writing style has been featured in her blogs for CNN, Essence Magazine, and Family Dollar. Stephany has appeared as the keynote speaker for the National Museum for Women in the Arts, the Association for Image Consultants International, and the Office of the Mayor of Washington, D.C.

As an authority on the business of fashion, she founded Stephany Greene Consulting, LLC, where she designs and styles collections, and hosts and produces events, and fashion shows for clients including The Gap, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Family Dollar, Unilever, Essence Magazine, Howard University, and Kedar Global Enterprises (KGE), founded by the former CEO of Motown Records, Kedar Massenburg.
Stephany’s career has taken her from New York and D.C., to Paris, London, India, and Korea, and recently to Florida where Stephany was chosen as a ‘Mover and Influencer’ by Florida Trends Magazine. She is featured in two coffee table books, the Inaugural Edition of the Best of D.C., and The Who’s Who of Black Washington, D.C., and she has appeared on ABC NBC, CNN, BET, Bravo.com, News 12 New Jersey, WPGC, WHUR, and WBGC radio, and in Business Insider, Essence, Ebony, The New York Post, The Boston Globe, The Baltimore Sun, Real Simple, Redbook, and Details, etc. Stephany was the On-Air Host for Fashionably DC, and Metro in a Day, and a regular guest on Michael Jackson’s manager, Raymone Bain’s radio show. Stephany’s celebrity following led to her tenure as Head Stylist for Source Magazine’s TV show, Source All Access, where she styled celebrities such as supermodel, Tyson Beckford, actress and former First Lady of Turks and Caicos, Lisaraye, and rap artist Treach (Naughty by Nature).
Changing the landscape of fashion and education, Stephany made history as a Professor when she founded the Fashion Merchandising Program at the University of the District of Columbia, where the program attracted a White House Initiative sanctioned by President Obama, and a partnership with retail giant, Gap, Inc. She also taught at Georgetown University as Academic Director for the Entrepreneurship Program, and at Virginia Tech’s Fashion Merchandising and Design program. A consummate change-maker, Stephany re-designed Pro Player’s corporate identity logo, which garnered $13 million in advertising value when it premiered at the Super Bowl at Pro Player Stadium in Miami, Florida. Her success at Pro Player led the NFL and BET Television to hire Stephany as Design Director of BET Sports/The NFL Collection, where she carved a new niche in the previously untapped urban sports market.
Stephany earned a Master of Arts Degree in Strategic Communication from American University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute. In 1999, Pratt Institute established the ‘Stephany Greene Sportswear Award’ in her honor, as a recognized addition to its Annual Senior Critic Fashion Show. She serves as a board member of The Pratt Institute Advisory Council, where she is passionate about inspiring others to follow their dreams.
